This is a hands-on, operationally-focused role, however, you will also be expected to support on a variety of ad-hoc projects across Real Estate, Business Development, Technology, Finance and Expansion Strategy. You will report directly to Huckletree’s founders. The role will be primarily be based at Huckletree HQ in Clerkenwell but you will be need to travel between locations frequently. You will also be required to travel within the UK, Ireland and EU/RoW.

You will be working from: Huckletree's HQ in Clerkenwell, London.

As Head of Commercial and Operations, you will take responsibility for professionalising the day-to-day and strategic management of Huckletree’s location operations. With the expansion and operations team, you will assist with the roll-out of all further locations over the next 3 years; overseeing the setup of new spaces, their integration into the Huckletree portfolio, and their commercial and facility teams. You will balance responsibility for multiple locations at once, ensuring all space KPIs - both commercial and otherwise - are being achieved and maximised, from pre-launch through to maturity.

    • Oversee, coordinate and professionalise of all operational functions at current workspaces, including establishing ‘best-in-class’ processes and procedures
    • Define and establish a platform of SLAs (F&B, facilities, cleaning, reception, etc.) that can support both existing sites across the portfolio, and international scale
    • Identify new opportunities for commercialisation and support/implement new membership acquisition strategies to drive recurring revenue growth; implement an ‘hospitality experience’ across the portfolio
    • Oversee detailed operational cost management and monitor P&L performance across locations
    • Ensure consistency and innovation across integrated building and spatial technologies
    • Oversee and co-ordinate finance systems and processes with management
    • Ensure compliance with all statutory and insurance requirements; health & safety, EDA, data protection, etc.
    • Support the brand identity, market segmentation and positioning across a series of new business environments
    • Support the recruitment of the central and location-based operational teams, as required

    • You graduated from a top tier university
    • You are an experienced business optimiser, making sure we get the best of each location and that everyone delivers on target
    • You have demonstrable senior operations experience within a startup, leading tech company, management consultancy or investment bank
    • You have 5-7 year experience in people management, with operations oversight role in either coworking, hospitality, food/beverage or leisure business; Close scrutiny of operations and excellent cost/yield management with proven impact on P&L
    • You have a track-record in hitting targets, customer excellence and hospitality
    • You have demonstrable experience of establishing and maintaining operational teams and practices from the beginning, and building high-performing and multi-functional teams
