Our new series, PURE JOY, celebrates inspiring artists, writers, thinkers and public intellectuals - providing an exclusive opportunity for our community to take a thought provoking and entertaining break from working life.

We are delighted to announce that our first event is this series will be with celebrated writer and artist, DBC Pierre, whose novel Vernon God Little won many accolades including the MAN Booker Prize. Expect to be blown away by one of the nation's most uncompromising literary voices - and leave feeling enlightened, entertained and most of all, inspired.

About DBC Pierre

One of the nation's most uncompromising literary voices, DBC Pierre is author of the novels Vernon God Little, Ludmila's Broken English and Lights Out In Wonderland, plus the picture book for distracted adults Petit Mal and the Hammer novella Breakfast With The Borgias. The novel Vernon God Little sold in 43 territories and won the Man Booker Prize, the Whitbread Prize for Best First Novel, the Bollinger Wodehouse Everyman Award and the James Joyce Award from University College Dublin. In 2016 Faber & Faber launched Release the Bats, a memoir and practical guide to breaking through in fiction without killing yourself. His groundbreaking new novel Meanwhile in Dopamine City was published in August 2020. Pierre divides his time between the UK and Ireland.
